I like this place. The food is good, the wait staff is always friendly and responsive. You don't have to be an every-day regular to get good service (like a certain New Haven cafe I could mention). If we are going out for breakfast with our son we often come here because we know if we order a side of cottage cheese or fruit and ask to receive it quickly in order to quell the youngster who is "starving", they will get it to us right away, within just a few short minutes. He's filling his tummy and we and everyone else in the place can enjoy ourselves. (He can eat right before coming and will still be "starving" when we get there, because he's a bottomless food pit). I also come here with my father-in-law pretty regularly. They are very accommodating and never rush him (he has Parkinson's) if he is having a hard time with something. Lately I've been really enjoying the Tuna Plate, but I like their pecan waffles, frittatas, BLTs, and hamburgers a great deal. My father in law always gets the chicken soup, no matter what else he gets. My husband likes their fish and their omelets. My son will eat anything, but normally wants pancakes:)

A real homie feel....great breakfasts, ALL DAY! Not the most amazing atmosphere or service, but very friendly and great food! Highly recommend.

I've heard good things about Angel's Cafe but dont go out to each much so a groupon offer got me motivated to try it. From the time I walked in I got a friendly greeting and the friendly treatment continued throughout the visit. I decided on the Cheeseburger and fries with a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The noodles in the soup were wonderful, I certainly thought they were homemade. The burger was HUGE and that was honest to goodness bacon on there and no upcharge for lettuce and tomato. I ran out of room for most of my fries, which while they weren't anything special, were good and the serving also quite large. I took my teenage son to lunch with me and he wasn't able to finish his meal... So that really tells you something about portion size! Finally my beverage. I'm not a Pepsi drinker so I opted for a beer. They serve Veterans beer here. Kudos to the management for selecting it! We will be back for sure!

Stopped in last week for the first time. Had their chicken noodle soup,very good. Service was quick, server was friendly and checked on me several times. Only thing I seen that needed attention was the carpet, frayed and has served it useful life. I don't eat on the floor but it distracts from the other good things they have going for them. Come on now Angel Cafe as busy as you are, let's spring for new floor covering !! You have 4 stars from me, new carpet---5.

Great diner. Went there with some locals and they said it's the best food they had in the area. Service was very quick and efficient, meal was delicious. What else would you expect from a diner?
